Welcome!
A bit about me
I have always had a strong interest in natural medicine and nutrition, and I believe with the proper diet and daily practices of self-care, we can give our body and mind the strength to heal from within. I was introduced to the traditional healing system of Ayurveda while traveling and in 2012, I began studying Ayurveda at Kanyakumari Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness center in Milwaukee, WI. It was here where I became certified in Ayurvedic Health Counseling and Ayurvedic Bodywork. I also studied Marma Therapy, Ayurvedic Energy Healing, and Healing Touch. Recently, I completed my Ayurvedic Sadhana Lifestyle Consultant certification with the Wise Earth School of Ayurveda, this is where I also studied Womb Shakti Medicine.
When working with my clients, I begin each session by connecting with them on an individual level and setting an intention for the treatment. It is because of this personal connection that I hope to offer continued support for all my clients throughout their healing journey. Together, we will do the work to allow healing and balance to occur naturally. Showing our bodies love from the inside out is so important. We are aligned with the rhythms of nature and should honor Mother Earth and all she has to offer us.
Spending time in nature is one of the best medicines. In my free time, I adore hiking with my two dogs and working in my herb, veggie, and flower gardens during the spring and summer months.
Sacred Rose Ayurveda
An Explanation of the Name
The name Sacred Rose comes from Ayurveda’s sacred use of plants. In Ayurveda, every part of the plant is understood to have unique medicinal properties. Rose is my birth given middle name, and is also a symbol for soothing the heart and creating a blissful state of mind. Rose is also balancing for all three doshas. The symbol in the center of the rose in my logo represents the Anahata (heart) chakra. This is the center of the seven main chakras and unites the upper and lower three. The lower three are related to earthly matters of survival, sex, and power, while the upper three are related to our higher consciousness of truth, intuition, and purpose. The heart chakra bridges the human and spiritual aspects of our lives together with empathy, love, and compassion. It is the source of connection. As a therapist, I am heart centered during treatments, passing that love and compassion to the one on the table.
